Third attack on Georgia trails has police urging precautions

It’s happened again. Another woman is reporting an attack on a Georgia trail.

The latest attack was in Atlanta, after the one on the Silver Comet Trail in Paulding County and the other on the Iron Hill Trail at Red Top Mountain Park in Bartow County.

Law enforcement do not believe they are related in any way.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has acquired an additional 4-wheeler and are hoping to get more equipment to help beef up their patrol efforts on the trail that stretches from the Alabama state line to the Brushy Mountain Tunnel near Paulding County.

Sheriff Johnny Moats urges those who use the trail to go in groups and never be alone, especially women.

As far as the assault cases in Paulding and Bartow Counties, police still have no new leads in the investigations.
