Wreck in Rome injures Cedartown teen

A Cedartown teen was transported to Floyd Medical Center for evaluation after she was involved in a two-car wreck on Shorter Avenue Friday morning. According to officers with the Rome Police Department, 18 year old Greshunda Brazial of Rome, was driving a 2003 Ford Focus and was turning left into the Midtown Shopping Center at Shorter Avenue and Horseleg Creek Road when she was hit by a 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck, which was going through a green light at the intersection, driven by 19 year old Caleb Ploof of Cedartown. Police said the two vehicles hit nearly head-on, and while four injuries were reported in the wreck only 19 year old Jena Rodriguez of Cedartown, was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Police spent more than 30 minutes cleaning up the wreck, and police said Brazial was charged with failing to yield while turning left in the wreck.
