Silver Creek woman arrested for beating man with laptop

A Silver Creek woman was jailed after being arrested Sunday night by Floyd County Police and accused of beating a man with a laptop computer. According to police and Floyd County Jail records, 39 year old Rhonda Coffman Turner of 287 Wax Road, faces charges of one felony count of aggravated assault. Police say Turner entered a Turner Chapel Road residence Sunday and attempted to strike a man living there with a hammer multiple times. While she failed to hit him with a hammer, police say she did hit the individual several times with a laptop computer. She remains in jail this morning.
