The search for a child rape suspect in Paulding County is over as the suspect turns himself in to authorities. Cpl. Brandon Gurley of the Paulding County Sherriff’s office said that Gary Thomas Chastain Jr. turned himself in to deputies last night. Chastain is wanted in connection with the alleged rape of a 13 year old female that occurred Friday, April 2, 2010 in Paulding County. The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Crimes against Children unit received the report of the allegations on Friday of the incident that had occurred earlier that day. Detectives explained that the suspect did live in the home with the alleged victim and her mother at the time of the incident. The investigation in to this incident is ongoing.
