Overturned log truck causes headaches for morning commute

A log truck overturned early Monday morning on Georgia Highway 100 North close to the Floyd county line. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck occurred at approximately 6:30 Monday morning 5 miles south of the Floyd county line. Troopers say that the truck lost its load of logs, however, the truck still remained on the road. Polk County Police and the Georgia State Patrol were on the scene directing traffic on the highway. No injuries were reported. Traffic was blocked for hours as crews worked to clean up the accident scene.
