No reports of flooding; more rain on the way

Despite the heavy rains that passed through the county Tuesday, no significant flooding was reported by emergency services. This according to the Polk County Fire Department who said that while the county received about a half an inch of rain in a short period of time, no problems were reported. The same instance was true in other surrounding counties, as Floyd, Bartow, Paulding, and Haralson Counties all received close to half an inch but did not see any flash flooding. The forecast for the next few days calls for more rain, mostly in the afternoon in the form of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
