The City of Rockmart held an open house and dedication of the new Rockmart Municipal Complex and Administrative Services Building Sunday afternoon. Many citizens, local and state officials were in attendance to tour the facility. The building, which was once home to Rockmart High School for over much of the 20th century, has seen extensive renovations and updates while keeping a nostalgic feel of the old design. A formal dedication ceremony was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Rockmart Mayor Curtis Lewis said that work continues to progress on the new home of the Rockmart Police Department and for the new location of the public library.
