West John Hand Rd. & Georgia Ave. closed today

Officials from the city water department tell WGAA that a section of West John Hand Road will be closed to through traffic until early Wednesday morning. The closure affects an area from Cave Spring Road to the west end of College Circle. Motorists will need to drive around College Circle to detour the utility work. Additionally, the entrance to Georgia Avenue from Canal Street (U.S. 278/GA 6/GA 100) will be blocked indefinitely. Stay tuned to WGAA for the latest in these road closures.
