Pedestrian struck by motorist on Georgia Ave.; driver faces DUI

A pedestrian was transported to the hospital after she was struck by a car on Wednesday. According to officials, 28 year old Tabitha Sue Agan of a Potash Road address was found lying injured in a ditch along the side of Georgia Avenue. Assistant Police Chief Jamie Newsome said that  65 year old William Cook hit Agan with his car. Cook said he simply didn’t see the victim. Again was transported via Redmond EMS to Floyd Medical Center where she was later released. Cook was charged with reckless driving, aggressive driving, and driving under the influence.
