GDOL will help O’Charley’s recruit workers Friday and Monday for new restaurant in Rome

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help O’Charley’s fill a dozen jobs for food service workers at a new restaurant set to open in August on Turner-McCall Boulevard in Rome.

Two recruitments will be held at the GDOL’s Rome Career Center, 462 Riverside Parkway. The first will be Friday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, while the other will be Monday, July 14, from 1-4 p.m.

The company will be recruiting cooks, hosts and hostesses, along with servers, who must either have, or be able to obtain, an alcohol-pouring license. While no previous experience is required, job seekers with customer service-experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED), and be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds of merchandise.

The company will conduct a background-check and drug-screening test.

If hired, workers will receive four weeks of on-the-job training at O’Charley’s restaurants in either Hiram or Acworth.

For more information about the recruitments, contact the Rome Career Center at (706) 295-6051.
