GDOL to help Automation Personnel recruit workers in Rome Nov. 18

ATLANTA –The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Automation Personnel fill about 15 jobs with two light industrial manufacturers in Calhoun and Chatsworth.

The recruitment will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the GDOL Rome Career Center, 462 Riverside Parkway.

The company is recruiting creelers, utility helpers, and forklift and twister operators with at least one year of experience.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a valid form of identification and be able to work various schedules at the plants.

Salaries begin at $11 an hour, depending on experience and position.

The company will conduct a background check and drug-screening test. Also, applicants must be able to pass a blood pressure and vision test, including depth perception and eye-color.
