GDOL to help Aerotek hire manufacturing workers in Rome next Wednesday

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help staffing company Aerotek recruit about 45 workers for The Hon Corporation’s manufacturing plant in Cedartown. The company manufactures office furniture.

The recruiting event will be held Wednesday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Rome campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical College, 1 Maurice Culberson Dr., S.W.

The staffing company is recruiting machine and forklift operators and welders, along with assembly-line workers and people to sew fabric for office chairs. Staff from the GDOL will be available to help the employer screen applicants prior to the interviews.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. Applicants must have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), and at least 12 months experience working in a manufacturing environment.
