A constant mist fell over Murray County for the entire, but that was about the only thing that could dampen the Dawgs 65-13 win.
The junior varsity players gained some valuable experience and several banged up varsity players got the night off, including stand out Nick Chubb.
On the first play from scrimmage, Zach Chubb ran a sweep all the way to the end zone. That score was the first of many on the night for the Dawgs.
Chubb was also 2 for 3 with 49 yards and a score through the air. Freshman Josh Lee had two carries for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Cedartown finished with 336 total yards off offense, including 268 yards on the ground. Cedartown converted 21 first downs and, most importantly, did not fumble the ball.
Cedartown will begin a week of preparation for the play-in game this Friday night. The Dawgs will host the Ringgold Tigers at 7:30pm.
