City of Cedartown demolishes condemned property

In an ongoing effort to rid the city of condemned properties and improve the appearance of the city, the city of Cedartown has demolished another property. A vacant house at 305 Stubbs St. was destroyed Tuesday after being left to deteriorate for more than five years. The lot is expected to be completely cleared by the end of the week. Cedartown City Manager Charles Akridge said that the lot will most likely be sold due to the fact that it is located so close to the downtown area.
