The Cedartown City Commission is set to vote on the annexation and rezoning of land at 401 Davis Road that was purchased by the Cedartown Development Authority for future potential industrial development.
The land, known to many as the York property, consists of approximately 240 acres, stretching from Burkhalter Rd. to sections of Pine Pitch Road. The south of the property runs along the north side of Davis Road.
The annexation of the property into the city limits of Cedartown would also effectively rezone the property to industrial.
A public hearing will be held prior to the start of the July regular meeting of the city commission.
The commission is also set to vote on another lease agreement with a state agency at One Door Polk for approximately 220 square feet of office space.
The July regular meeting of the Cedartown City Commission is set for 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11.
