The Cedartown Fire Department was the recipient of a $1,000 donation from the Cedartown Wal-Mart. According to fire department officials, the money is to be used to purchase materials for the construction of fire-fighting simulators. With this money, they will be able to build a simulator with real doors and actually use their tools, giving firefighters some practical experience. Another simulator to be built will allow firefighters to practice the correct techniques for entering through a roof.
