Despite a subdued offense for much of the Dizzy Dean World Series, the Cedartown 16U Bulldogs fought back in the World Series final in their last inning and completed a walk-off victory over the Ponatauk Thunder 6 – 5 Tuesday afternoon.
Cedartown allowed three unearned runs in the top of the first and did not lead at anytime during the game until the bottom of the 7th inning.
The Bulldogs defeated Ponatauk 9 – 7 on Monday to place themselves in the series final Tuesday.
Congratulations to the Cedartown 16U Bulldogs on their Dizzy Dean World Series win and also to the Cedartown 14U girls on their World Championship in Dizzy Dean softball.
