Aragon man arrested on family violence charges

Police arrest an Aragon man after a family violence incident on Sunday. Rockmart Police arrested William Terrance Clemons of an Aragon address at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex on charges of leaving the scene of an accident/hit and run first offence, aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, and interference with government property. Reports state that Clemons is alleged to have pushed his girlfriend out of a moving van and then running her over as an argument ensued apparently over money. The victim told authorities that the suspect also fell out of the van. The van then struck a wooden fence. The two then apparently got back in the van and went to 1058 Cedartown Highway to call 911. Police state Clemons had no injuries and his clothes were not as wet. The victim’s injuries were apparently from falling from the vehicle.
