12 year old child dies from injuries

The child who was struck by a school bus back on September 9 has died. According to superintendent Marvin Williams from the Polk School District, 12 Wyatt Pilgrim passed away from complications from his injuries Sunday. Williams told WGAA Radio that he has requested that extra counselors be present today at Cedartown Middle School in order to help students cope with their loss. Wyatt was struck by a school bus on Wednesday, September 9 at around 7:26 in the morning and had been in critical condition ever since arriving at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral services are incomplete. The Olin L. Gammage and Son Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Stay tuned to WGAA News for more on this story.
