Skydiver killed in Polk

Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd says that one person was killed and another injured in a skydiving accident Saturday.

Donald Bragg, age 26 of Marietta was pronounced dead on the scene by Polk County Deputy Coroner Tony Brazier.

Bragg landed in a wooded area near the Grady Road landfill, while the unidentified victim landed on the other side of Grady Road.

The accident occurred just after 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon.

The other victim was taken to Floyd Medical Center and is in critical but stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
