Third suspect arrested in Mountain Home Loop burglary

Polk County police have made a third arrest in the May 7th attempted burglary at a house on Mountain Home Loop Road. According to reports, 23 year old Jessica Lane Griffen of a Morton Springs Rd. address in Cedartown was arrested Friday, June 1 on a warrant from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. She is charged with burglary, criminal trespass and conspiracy. Officials from Polk County Police said Griffin’s arrest is related to the May arrests of 35 year old James Edward Anderson and 23 year old Amanda Maureen Day both of Cedartown. Both Anderson and Day were captured after a chase by law enforcement and are charged in the Mountain Home Loop Road burglary. However, it is not yet known how Griffen was involved. In that burglary incident, the property owner came to the residence to find two men carrying items out of the house. He held a gun on the pair while law enforcement was called, but the men fled when they heard sirens. Anderson and Day were captured later that day after law enforcement from several agencies staked lookouts for the male suspects.
