Tallapoosa authorities are investigating an over decade old rape case after one of the two suspects was entered in to a DNA database producing a match. Investigators Terry Parker and Mark Worthy will travel to south Florida to interview the Colquitt prison inmate in relation to the rape. Investigators will reportedly secure warrants through Colquitt’s judicial system to obtain DNA evidence. Parker says both investigator Jackie Lynn Crawford and patrolling officer Junior Moxley have passed away and therefore current investigators are facing additional responsibilities. Investigators will reportedly travel sometime next week and take DNA samples if judges allow and submit the information to the crime lab.
