Cherokee Co. resident arrested for child molestation in Floyd Co.

A 19 year old Cherokee County resident was arrested in Floyd County on Monday – and is facing a charge of Child Molestation. According to docket records at the Floyd County Jail, Patrick Taylor Canada of 970 County Road 143 in Gaylesville, was taken into custody just after 2:00am Monday by Floyd County Police – and charged with one felony count each of Child Molestation, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes and Interference with Child Custody. According to reports – Canada stands accused of enticing a 14 year old girl to a location on the Alabama Highway in Floyd County, where the incident is alleged to have occurred.
