Cedartown Middle School student arrested

Cedartown Police Thursday arrested a Cedartown Middle School student after he allegedly made threats and attempted to flee officials. According to police, officers took the 12 year old boy into custody that afternoon and charged him with making terroristic threats and acts of obstruction of officers, all juvenile charges. He apparently was called to the principal’s office and then attempted to flee when police arrived to question him. The boy, whose identity is not being released due to his age, was released to his parents shortly after. Police say that while the threats were serious, no weapons were involved in the incident.
