A man was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound after an apparent altercation with his father. Reports indicate that Kevin Quillian was shot once in the upper part of his leg at a house at the corner of Blanche and Lavista Avenues. Details are sketchy at this time but it appears that an altercation of some kind broke out between the gunshot victim and his father Dillard Quillian who is alleged to have fire a single round at his son in the back yard of the home. The son then reportedly ran toward the Holiday Inn Express to call for help. Cedartown Police arrested Dillard Quillian Friday night and transported him to Polk County Jail on a charge of felony aggravated assault. He was released Saturday on a $10,100 bond. Kevin Quillian was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
