Traffic was snarled on North Main Street just after 11:30 Wednesday night after a vehicle plowed into a telephone pole in front of the Taco Bell restaurant, causing it to snap in half.
Cedartown Police had to temporarily block traffic in both directions as Georgia Power had to be brought in to replace the pole.
It did not immediately appear that power service was affected to any customers along Main or Marshall Street.
Cedartown Police, along with the Cedartown Fire Department and Redmond EMS responded to the scene.
Firefighters on the scene said that there were no major injuries.
