Well, despite the heavy rains this week, it’s that time of year once again for the Polk County Fair. The Annual Polk County Fair will be held at the Polk County Fairgrounds near the Georgia State Patrol Office on highway 278 from Tuesday, September 22nd through Saturday, September 26th. Fair hours today through Thursday will be from 5 pm until 10:30 pm and, on Friday and Saturday from 5 pm until 11 pm. Parking is free. Admission price is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children, and children under 5 are free. For more information about this year’s Fair, call 770-748-1309. The Fair is the major fund raising activity of the Exchange Club whose primary emphasis is prevention of child abuse and support of youth.
