Cedartown High School announces 2016-2017 International Debate Team

MEDIA RELEASE

The faculty and staff of Cedartown High would like to recognize and congratulate Nathan Garner, Kayla Greenway, and Kelsey Ivey for being chosen for the 2016-2017 Cedartown International Debate Team.

These students will have the prestigious honor to travel to Japan to compete in the Second Annual Parliamentary Debate World Congress against other countries such as Australia, Spain, Israel, Mongolia, and many others.

Also, these three students will represent the United States of America as ambassadors for peace and they are the only US representatives in this international debate.

These students excelled through a tough selection process that included an essay, interview, and display of extemporaneous speaking with a panel of judges, and they will work hard for the next two months to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime venture to Japan.
