Frank Burgess, Jr.
President/Operations Manager
Frank Burgess is the owner of WGAA Radio. He also hosts the weekday morning show and the morning edition of the Trading Post. He also handles the play-by-play duties for Cedartown High School Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Frank has been the owner of WGAA Radio ever since he founded Burgess Broadcasting Company, Inc. and bought the station back in 1994. Frank is also the owner of Burgess Insurance Services.
Allen Ray
Assistant Operations Manager/Sales
Allen Ray is the Assistant Operations Manager, as well as the Sales Manager for WGAA. Allen works hard to bring in many of our sponsors and is responsible for many of the sponsors you hear on WGAA. Allen is also the host of the afternoon edition of the Trading Post. Allen is very active in the community participating in several charity motorcycle rides.
Sam Branch
News
Sam is the news broadcaster for the 6:30 am, 7:30 am, 8:30 am, 12:00 pm, and 5:30 pm news. Sam may be new to WGAA, but his family certainly is not. Sam is the grandson of the late Ross Shackelford, longtime WGAA News Director. Sam is excited about being at WGAA and feels it is a real privilege to hold the same position as his grandfather.
Chasity Easterwood
Office Manager/Traffic
Chasity serves as the office manager at the Big Double A. Her duties include managing accounts payable and handling commercial scheduling.
Steve Baldwin
Steve is a color commentator for the CHS Bulldog Football broadcasts, along with covering CHS basketball games. Steve also lends his voice to many of our commercials and also does various voice-overs for clients. Steve also owns and operates B&B Properties.
Kat Bowie
Sales
A recent addition to the sales staff, Kat hails from Cave Spring. Promotions and marketing are Kat’s specialties and “taking care of the customer.” Kat helps out with copy writing and some voice over work for clients, as well as assisting with promotional efforts. If you see Kat more than likely you will see her constant companion, Abner, the WGAA sales dog. Kat’s claim to fame…she is the great…great… .great… grand daughter of Jim Bowie (remember the Alamo?) Is that a Bowie knife?
John Rogers (aka “Big John”)
John recently joined the team at WGAA. He hosts the Saturday and Sunday morning shows and is also the board operator for CHS Athletics and other various radio station events. He also is a frequent fill-in for anyone who needs to take a day off. John plays an important role in the operation of WGAA.
