Drivers asked to use caution as road repair is under way

PRESS RELEASE

Drivers traveling through the Cave Spring Road/Girard Avenue intersection will soon find their commute a little less bumpy and gravely.

According to Kelvin Garmon, Public Works Director, workers are out right now setting concrete in that intersection, filling up the narrow ditch created when a new sewer line was put into place.

The ditch had been temporarily filled with gravel for several weeks.

Workers will repair the ditch and cover it with a metal plate, allowing the concrete to dry.

Garmon asked drivers to approach the intersection with caution today, as workers and equipment will be in the roadway as the ditch is repaired.
