37th annual Homespun Festival begins tonight

The annual Homespun Festival kicks off today at Seaborn Jones Park in historic downtown Rockmart.

The festivities begin today at 5:00 p.m. with musical performances by a number of local Gospel and Christian groups.

On Saturday, the annual Homespun 5K begins at 8:00 a.m., with the famous Homespun Parade through downtown Rockmart getting underway at 10:00 a.m.

The festival begins on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a number of musical performances, a car show, beauty pageants, and other entertainment throughout the day, culminating with a fireworks show at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The Homespun Festival is now in its 37^th year.
