City of Cedartown partnering with Georgia Northwestern Technical College to offer business workshops
Providing local entrepreneurs with tools for success will be the highlight of two free business workshops planned during the month of March. The workshops, sponsored by the City of Cedartown, in strategic partnership with Georgia Northwestern Technical College, are planned for March 11 at 5:30 p.m. and March 21 at 8:30 a.m. Both will take place at Cedartown City Hall at 201 East Ave.
Called “Cedartown Biz Builders,” the idea of offering the workshops stemmed from the recent Georgia Downtown Renaissance Strategic Visioning Plan.
“During those planning sessions, many residents and business owners agreed that equipping our current and future entrepreneurs with the right tools is very important. We have local business owners here that started out in cramped home offices, one even started in the back of their car, and they have gone on to build flourishing businesses right here in Cedartown,” said workshop organizer Britt Madden Jr. “We want folks to be able to learn from their hometown resources — from those that have ‘been there, done that.’ We feel that offering these workshops is a way to help local businesses beef up their toolbox and build up their success.”
