The Governor’s Office of Workforce Development partners with Junior Achievement for Discovery Center’s grand opening
Blake Ashbee, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development (GOWD), will be an honored partner at the grand opening of the Junior Achievement Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m.
By providing 6th – 8th graders with a simulation of a local business marketplace, the Center is focused on arming the next generation of students with the confidence and understanding to excel in their financial and professional futures. Through the program, middle school students will be tasked to make real-world decisions that follow specific career paths. GOWD is proud to partner with this development and continue to lay the foundation for securing a skilled workforce in Georgia.
