Sunday and Monday March 10-11, 2013 the 4th Annual Monster Energy Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross, sanctioned by AMA hosted nearly 1,000 entries at the Daytona International Speedway.  Amateur classes ranging from 50cc all the way to the Vet and Pro classes hit the track.  The event brought some of the sports biggest industry names and sponsors to hang around and scout the up and coming talent of the amateur circuit.  Monday 32 champions were crowned.

Carson Ledford, Cedartown, Georgia had a successful weekend after having the fastest lap time in practice, taking the heat win and moving on to win the main event.  Carson was crowned the 250 C (17+) National champion on the podium with Ricky Carmichael himself.    Carson is sponsored by:  Kawasaki Team Green Rider Support, Spider Energy Drink, Privateer Racing League, Kawasaki of Rome, Jett Boots, 100% goggles, Kenda Tires, Roost MX, Moto Moose Photos, Matt Walker’s Moto X Compound.  He is the son of Leland and Kim Ledford and the brother of Taylor and Daniel Ledford.
