County Commission Holds Monthly Meeting

The Polk County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday evening at 7pm, in the regularly held monthly meeting. Among the business handled at the meeting:
- Sandra Galloway was appointed to the Tallatoona Community Action Partnership Board of Directors
- Bessie Hartley was appointed to the DBHDD Region One Planning Board
- Training for the Fire Department was approved at an estimated cost of $1000
- A consideration was recommended to replace a Sheriff Department Vehicle by Commissioner Ricky Clark; the vote was 3-2 in favor, but Chairman Thaxton vetoed the vote believing that more research was needed to make a sound decision.
The Polk County Board of Commissioners will meet again on November 8 at 7 pm in the Commission Room of the Georgia State Patrol Building.
