Firefighters from four Polk County Fire Stations responded to a house fire on Berry Road Thursday night. Crews from Blooming Grove, Esom Hill, Prior Station and Young’s Station fire departments responded to the call around 8:00 p.m. Thursday night. Upon arrival of the first crews, flames could be seen coming from the crawl space of the house. Firefighters entered the house through both the front and back door. Firefighters then removed large parts the ceiling inside the home to gain access to the fire. Crews extiinguised the flames, but the house suffered significant damage. The cause of the fire is unknow at this time.
