Election Day
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, July 20th. Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 7:00 p.m. Voters must bring a photo ID with them to vote. If voters are not sure of where to vote, they may log on to the Secretary of State’s website, www.sos.georgia.gov and enter in their information. The following individuals will be on the ballot on Tuesday: County Commission District One, incumbent, Democrat Sandra Galloway, Republican Jason Ward. County Commission District Two, incumbent Democrat Frank Lott, Democrat Leroy Peugh, Democrat Raymond Barber, and Republican Phillip Bentley. County Commission District Three, incumbent Democrat Marshalle Thaxton. Board of Education District One, Republican Susan Berry. Board of Education District Two, incumbent Republican Grady McCrickard. Board of Education District Three, incumbent Democrat Jane Holbrooks. Board of Education District Six, Republican Crystal Sproull, Democrat Dan Forsyth. Board of Education District Seven, incumbent Democrat Tommy Sanders, Democrat Nicole Moore. A total of five Republicans will be on the ballot, with three running for Board of Education and two running for County Commission. A total of nine Democrats will be on the ballot, with five running for County Commission and four running for Board of Education. Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
