Rockmart man arrested on warrants from Haralson County

A Rockmart man with warrants from Haralson County led Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies on a chase that ended in a swamp near Woods Road at 7:30 Wednesday night, according to Cpl. John Blalock of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office. According to Floyd County Jail records, 35 year old Paul Lynn Barton of 718 White River Road, in Rockmart, is charged five counts of misdemeanor obstruction and a number of warrants from Haralson County. Barton, also known as “Grave Digger”, fled from officers attempting to serve warrants and led them on a chase through the swamp, said Blalock. He is also being held without bond on a violation of his probation.
