Cedartown mother of 4 wins extraordinary $3M prize

PRESS RELEASE

ATLANTA – A Cedartown mother of four has won a multi-million Georgia Lottery prize. Phillis James, 40, is one of two winners each to win a $3 million jackpot prize from the Aug. 17 Jumbo Bucks Lotto with Ca$h Match drawing, having matched all six winning numbers.

With her own lucky combination of family birthdays, James purchased her ticket at Cedartown Grocery & Tobacco, 1103 S. Main St. in Cedartown.

The lucky winner discovered her windfall after receiving an email notification from the Georgia Lottery Players Club announcing the results from the drawing.

“I screamed. I was sitting in my car at work while on break,” she recalled. “I was excited.”

A sanitation operator, James has four children, ages 20, 19, 18 and 14.

Winning numbers from the Aug. 17 Jumbo Bucks Lotto with Ca$h Match drawing were: 6-10-15-22-26-28.

The second jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Lilburn.

Jumbo Bucks Lotto with Ca$h Match offers jackpots starting at $1 million.

Drawings are held at 11 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.

Tickets are $1 per play. The Ca$h Match option costs an additional $1 per play.
